Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during medical procedures
- Administer injections, medications, and perform basic laboratory tests
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and confidentiality
- Schedule appointments, handle insurance verifications, and process billing
- Perform vital signs assessments and document patient histories
- Maintain sterile exam rooms and inventory of medical supplies
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and preventive care
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic or NextGen preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification (current or obtainable within 30 days)
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and medical terminology
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask efficiently
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred
