Responsibilities
- Prepare and Assist: Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs, recording medical history, and explaining treatment procedures.
- Clinical Support: Assist physicians during exams and procedures, including taking blood samples and administering injections as directed.
- Administrative Duties: Manage patient records accurately, schedule appointments, and handle insurance verifications.
- Lab Work: Perform basic laboratory tests and maintain a clean and organized clinic environment.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between patients and the healthcare team, ensuring clear and effective communication.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification: Current certification as a CMA, RMA, or NCMA preferred.
- Licensure: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong computer literacy and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
