Responsibilities
- Assist physicians and healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures.
- Measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Prepare patients for exams by interviewing them, taking medical histories, and explaining procedures.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and maintain accurate patient documentation.
- Administer injections and perform basic laboratory tests as directed by providers.
- Greet patients, verify insurance information, and manage front desk reception duties.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; CMA or RMA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Willingness to obtain required state certifications within the probationary period.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume medical environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new medical software quickly.
