Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient intake, vitals assessment, and medical history documentation.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and administer medications and injections under the supervision of licensed providers.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and maintain organized patient charts.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, and follow-up appointments efficiently.
- Provide clear, compassionate instructions to patients regarding medications, diets, and home care.
- Maintain a sterile, clean, and organized clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Certification as a CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) required.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume medical setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in medical assisting preferred.
- Proficiency in standard medical office software and diagnostic equipment.
