Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and verify demographic information with accuracy.
  • Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with history taking and basic physical assessments.
  • Perform vital sign measurements (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and EKGs as directed.
  • Assist physicians during examinations and minor procedures.
  • Maintain and organize medical records and electronic health records (EHR).
  • Prepare and administer medications as per physician orders and state regulations.
  • Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and referrals.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification required.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; post-secondary medical training a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
