Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly and verify personal and insurance information to ensure accurate check-in.
- Assist providers during patient examinations, including recording vital signs and preparing exam rooms.
- Perform basic lab tests, administer injections, and handle phlebotomy as required by state regulations.
- Maintain and update patient medical records and electronic health records (EHR) with precision.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments, referrals, and prescription refills.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control and sanitation protocols.
- Handle incoming calls and patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification (RMA/MA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician's office or clinic setting.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR software systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth, Cerner).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient satisfaction.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation are preferred.
