Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals, including blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature, and document accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Assist providers with patient examinations, procedures, and minor office surgeries.
- Prepare treatment rooms and medical equipment for patient visits and ensure proper sterilization protocols are followed.
- Administer injections, vaccinations, and perform phlebotomy as required by state licensure.
- Coordinate patient flow efficiently to minimize wait times and maximize patient satisfaction.
- Handle insurance verification and patient intake paperwork with high accuracy.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (CMA, RMA, or CMAA certification preferred).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency with electronic health record systems (Epic, AthenaHealth, or similar).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients of all ages.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
