Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their demographic information, and escort them to exam rooms to ensure a seamless check-in experience.
- Perform accurate vital sign measurements (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature) and record them in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Assist providers during patient examinations by preparing instruments, sterilizing equipment, and providing necessary documentation.
- Perform basic lab duties including phlebotomy and EKGs according to established protocols.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and medical supplies to adhere to strict hygiene standards.
- Communicate test results and follow-up instructions clearly to patients and families.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a primary care or specialty practice setting is highly desirable.
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EHR) systems such as Epic or AthenaHealth.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients of all backgrounds.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume medical environment.
