Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and vitals checks with precision and empathy.
- Assist physicians and providers with examinations and procedures.
- Prepare and administer medications as directed by licensed providers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date Electronic Health Records (EHR).
- Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, and laboratory services.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program (CMA, RMA, or equivalent).
- Certification preferred (Baltimore City Health Department requirements).
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician office or clinic setting.
- Proficient in EMR systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
