Responsibilities
- Perform accurate patient intake, vitals monitoring, and medical history documentation.
- Assist healthcare providers with examinations, minor procedures, and phlebotomy as needed.
- Manage front-office administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and maintaining electronic health records (EHR).
- Maintain examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and manage medical supply inventory.
- Provide clear patient education on treatment plans, medications, and preventative care.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations, clinical protocols, and safety standards.
- Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and front-desk teams to optimize patient flow.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical setting.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) software (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Valid Washington State RN/Medical Assistant license or equivalent state credentials.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including potential weekends or evenings.
