Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals monitoring, and medical history documentation.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with examinations and minor procedures.
- Prepare and sterilize medical equipment and examination rooms.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
- Handle patient billing, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling.
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients of all ages.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
