Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination and assist physicians during clinical procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, administer injections, and perform venipuncture (phlebotomy).
- Record patient medical histories, symptoms, and treatment plans accurately.
- Manage and maintain electronic health records (EHR) systems with strict adherence to privacy laws.
- Greet patients, answer phones, and handle front desk administrative tasks.
- Maintain cleanliness, sterilization, and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Coordinate patient follow-ups and schedule appointments.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification required.
- Current Ohio Medical Assistant license in good standing.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
