Responsibilities
- Perform routine vital signs, measurements, and patient screenings.
- Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during clinical visits.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by providers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records in the EHR system.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and specialist referrals.
- Instruct patients on medication usage, home care, and lifestyle changes.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical office setting preferred.
- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and practice management software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
