Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs to ensure optimal care.
- Care Implementation: Execute patient care plans effectively under the direction of physicians and charge nurses.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments as prescribed, strictly adhering to safety protocols.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough medical records and patient documentation in the EHR system.
- Crisis Management: Respond swiftly and professionally to medical emergencies and critical situations.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (ASN or BSN preferred).
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania required.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required; PALS preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Computer Proficiency: Ability to navigate Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems efficiently.
