Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, injections, and phlebotomy
- Assist providers with patient examinations and minor procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) with precision and HIPAA compliance
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment according to OSHA standards
- Handle patient scheduling and basic administrative tasks
- Provide patient education on treatment plans and medications
- Coordinate with laboratory and pharmacy services
Qualifications
- Active California Medical Assistant certification (CMA or RMA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in outpatient setting
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic/NextGen preferred)
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical protocols
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
