Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for patients.
- Take and record patient vital signs, medical history, and insurance information accurately.
- Assist physicians during patient examinations and procedures, including phlebotomy and EKG administration.
- Manage patient flow, schedule appointments, and answer incoming phone calls with professionalism.
- Assist with basic laboratory tests and maintain accurate records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Provide patient education and instructions regarding medications and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with the nursing and administrative staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification is required.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification must be current.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume medical environment.
- Must pass a background check and drug screen.
