Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist providers with patient exams, accurately record vital signs, and prepare patients for procedures.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, update electronic health records, and handle insurance verification efficiently.
- Lab Work: Perform basic laboratory tests, draw blood, and collect specimens while adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Inventory Management: Maintain exam rooms and medical supply inventory to ensure readiness for daily operations.
- Communication: Clearly communicate treatment plans and instructions to patients and their families to ensure continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience preferred in a fast-paced medical office setting.
- License: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Skills: Proficient in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and computer literacy.
- Interpersonal: Excellent communication skills and a warm, patient demeanor.
