Responsibilities
- Greet patients and prepare them for examination by the physician.
- Take and record vital signs and medical histories accurately.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, EKGs, and other diagnostic procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the healthcare provider.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical charts.
- Coordinate patient follow-up care and referrals to specialists.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification (e.g., RMA, NCMA) required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
- 1+ years of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred.
- Strong proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients or equipment as needed.
- Strong attention to detail and patient confidentiality.
