Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in patients, verifying demographics and insurance information accurately.
  • Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
  • Assist providers during patient examinations by preparing instruments and documenting procedures.
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers, strictly following safety protocols.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests, such as blood draws and EKGs, and prepare samples for analysis.
  • Manage patient records electronically, ensuring HIPAA compliance and data accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is preferred.
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a clinical or medical office setting is a plus.
