Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, vitals, and health histories accurately and efficiently.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical equipment following strict protocols.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by licensed providers.
- Manage patient records electronically, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
- Coordinate patient scheduling, referrals, and laboratory tests.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
- Active Michigan State License or eligible to obtain one.
- Previous experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred.
- Proficiency in Phlebotomy and EKG procedures is a major plus.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
