The Role
As a Weekend Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive high-quality care during their visits. You will work closely with physicians and nursing staff to deliver seamless healthcare services.
Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments in accordance with safety protocols.
- Assist providers during patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Record patient medical histories, vital signs, and insurance information accurately.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians, ensuring proper documentation.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and manage patient flow efficiently.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and EKGs as required.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current CMA, RMA, or NCMA certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Certified BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS certification required.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
