As a Medical Assistant, you will be at the heart of patient care, ensuring our patients receive the highest quality service in a professional and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient intakes, including obtaining medical history and vital signs.
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and minor medical procedures.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Draw blood and administer injections as authorized by the provider.
- Manage patient records and handle insurance verification and billing inquiries.
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient education regarding medications and treatments.
- Coordinate scheduling for patient follow-up appointments.
Qualifications
- Certificate or diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, NCMA) or current enrollment in a certification program.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not always required.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Basic computer proficiency with EHR systems.
