Responsibilities
- Perform vital signs, medical histories, and physical examinations accurately.
- Prepare patients for examination and assist physicians during procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed by licensed providers.
- Manage patient intake, scheduling, and electronic health records (EHR) efficiently.
- Maintain a sterile, clean, and organized clinical environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients and coordinate referrals to specialists.
- Provide patient education on preventative care and wellness.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong computer proficiency with EMR/EHR experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Valid Texas driver’s license preferred.
