Responsibilities
- Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, weight, and height.
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with gowns and drapes.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during examinations and procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, administer injections, and draw blood as directed.
- Manage patient records and ensure strict adherence to HIPAA compliance standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Coordinate with insurance companies to verify patient benefits and process referrals.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or similar medical credential.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
