Responsibilities
- Conduct patient intake, measure vital signs, and update medical records accurately.
- Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments and equipment.
- Collect and process lab specimens, ensuring strict adherence to protocols.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and EKGs as directed.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding instructions, medications, and follow-up care.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized clinical environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required.
- High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
