Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Prepare patients for examinations by interviewing them, recording medical histories, and measuring vitals.
- Assistance: Assist providers during exams and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and privacy.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient records, update electronic health records (EHR), and schedule appointments accurately.
- Lab Work: Collect and process blood samples and other lab tests, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Communication: Clearly communicate test results and treatment plans to patients and referring physicians.
- Inventory: Maintain medical supplies and equipment, ensuring the clinic is well-stocked and organized.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred.
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
- Skills: Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth).
- Interpersonal: Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients of all backgrounds.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow instructions precisely and maintain accurate documentation.
