  • Administrative Support: Manage front desk operations including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and maintaining accurate electronic health records (EHR).
  • Communication: Act as a liaison between patients and the healthcare team, answering questions and providing clear instructions regarding medications and follow-up care.
  • Infection Control: Strictly adhere to infection control protocols and sterilization procedures to maintain a safe clinical environment.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and restock exam rooms and medical supplies to ensure operational readiness.

Qualifications

  • Certification: Current CMA (Certified Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant), or NCMA certification is preferred.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is a plus.
  • Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting is preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in electronic health records systems (Epic or AthenaHealth experience is a plus) and strong computer literacy.
