Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake, including obtaining vitals, medical history, and current medications.
- Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare examination rooms for patient visits, including sterilization and stocking supplies.
- Perform basic phlebotomy and EKG procedures as required.
- Process lab results and assist with insurance verification and billing inquiries.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families to explain treatment plans and instructions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting is highly desired.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first approach.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth, Cerner).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Valid Colorado driver’s license and proof of auto insurance required for local travel.
