Responsibilities
- Perform patient vitals (blood pressure, weight, temperature) and EKGs accurately.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during clinical procedures.
- Manage patient intake, including updating medical histories and insurance information.
- Assist with minor medical procedures such as injections and wound care.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Coordinate lab specimen collection and processing.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Current BLS/ACLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth).
- Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
