Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during patient examinations and procedures.
- Vitals & Intake: Accurately measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, weight) and complete patient intake forms.
- Lab Duties: Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Admin Support: Manage patient charts electronically, schedule appointments, and handle phone inquiries professionally.
- Medication: Administer medications as directed by providers and document patient responses.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or NCMA is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital or clinic setting preferred.
- Licensure: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
