Responsibilities
- Perform routine administrative and clinical tasks, including scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, and updating patient histories.
- Prepare patients for examinations by assisting with examinations and recording vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse).
- Assist providers during examinations by preparing instruments and medications.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens for testing according to strict protocols.
- Administer medications as directed by physicians and document patient responses accurately.
- Foster a welcoming environment for patients by answering questions and addressing concerns with empathy.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a Medical Assistant program is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level applicants.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients, families, and staff.
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems is highly desirable.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
