In this role, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, supporting our clinical staff, and ensuring smooth operations within our clinic. No prior experience is necessary; we provide all the tools you need to thrive.
Responsibilities
- Greet and Welcome Patients: Create a positive first impression by warmly welcoming patients to the clinic and checking them in efficiently.
- Vital Signs & Measurements: Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and weight.
- Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for examinations by escorting them to exam rooms, explaining procedures, and assisting providers as needed.
- Assist with Procedures: Provide chair-side assistance to providers during exams and minor procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Administrative Support: Manage patient charts, verify insurance information, and update electronic health records (EHR) with precision.
- Injections & Treatments: Administer injections, immunizations, and perform basic lab tests (phlebotomy) under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to all hygiene protocols and safety guidelines to maintain a sterile environment.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a Medical Assistant program is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Experience: No prior clinical experience required. A strong desire to learn and grow in the healthcare field is essential.
- Licensure: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred; we will assist with obtaining this upon hiring.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients of all ages.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency and comfort learning new electronic health record systems.
- Compassion: A patient-centered approach with a genuine desire to help others and maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
