Responsibilities
- Patient Intake: Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and update medical records accurately.
- Vital Signs: Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration) and document findings in patient charts.
- Clinical Support: Assist providers during examinations, prepare treatment rooms, and sterilize medical instruments.
- Laboratory Tasks: Collect and process lab specimens, perform basic point-of-care testing, and assist with phlebotomy.
- Administrative Duties: Schedule appointments, answer phone calls, and manage patient correspondence.
- Patient Education: Provide clear instructions on medications, follow-up care, and healthy lifestyle choices.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; completion of a Medical Assistant program is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience: No prior experience required; we are looking for eager learners.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and proficiency with basic computer software.
