Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during medical procedures.
- Record patient medical histories, symptoms, and vital signs accurately.
- Administer injections, medications, or vaccines as directed by the physician.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare blood samples for analysis.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of medical equipment and examination rooms.
- Manage patient records electronically and ensure confidentiality.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and handle insurance verifications.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and staff.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license (if driving is a requirement of the role).
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with medical software.
