Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary medical equipment and supplies to ensure a sterile environment.
- Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and minor procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for analysis.
- Greet patients, verify personal information, and update medical records accurately.
- Provide patient education on medications, diets, and follow-up care instructions.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification is preferred but not mandatory for this entry-level role.
- CPR/BLS certification required or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with patients.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
