Responsibilities
- Patient Intake: Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and prepare clinical charts for visits.
- Vital Signs: Accurately measure and record blood pressure, temperature, weight, and other vital statistics.
- Assistance: Prepare examination rooms, sterilize medical instruments, and assist providers during patient exams.
- Phlebotomy & Testing: Perform basic blood draws and point-of-care testing as directed by the provider.
- Administrative Tasks: Manage appointment scheduling, faxing, and maintaining accurate medical records.
- Communication: Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care instructions.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED is required. Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level applicants.
- Experience: No prior clinical experience required; we provide comprehensive on-the-job training.
- Skills: Basic computer proficiency and knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a friendly demeanor.
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is highly desirable.
