Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and accurately record medical history and vital signs.
- Assist physicians and nursing staff during examinations and clinical procedures.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary medical instruments and supplies.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, including blood draws and urinalysis.
- Manage patient records and ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide patient education regarding medications, treatments, and aftercare instructions.
- Coordinate patient appointments and handle front desk administrative duties.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level applicants.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume medical environment.
- Basic computer literacy and proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Valid CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Reliable transportation and professional appearance.
