Responsibilities
- Perform routine patient intake, including measuring vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, height, and weight).
- Prepare examination rooms and sterilize medical instruments to maintain a sterile environment.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and minor procedures.
- Manage patient records, update medical histories, and verify insurance information accurately.
- Administer medications and perform basic phlebotomy duties under strict supervision.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and answer health-related questions.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA privacy regulations and hospital safety protocols.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; CMA or RMA certification is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level applicants.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with electronic health records (EHR) is preferred.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and assist patients as needed.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred for site flexibility.
