Responsibilities
- <ul><li>Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in procedures, verifying personal information and insurance details.</li><li>Prepare examination rooms and medical equipment for patient visits, ensuring a sterile environment.</li><li>Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and heart rate, accurately.</li><li>Assist providers during patient exams and procedures, handing instruments and recording information.</li><li>Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse or physician.</li><li>Draw blood for laboratory tests using phlebotomy techniques.</li><li>Maintain and update patient medical records and charts in the electronic health record system.</li><li>Answer phone inquiries and direct patients to the appropriate departments efficiently.</li></ul>
Qualifications
- <ul><li>High School Diploma or GED required; a degree in a medical field is a plus but not mandatory for this entry-level role.</li><li>Strong desire to learn and grow within the healthcare field; no prior clinical experience required.</li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff of all backgrounds.</li><li>Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new software quickly.</li><li>Valid driverβs license and reliable transportation (required for some facilities).</li><li>Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds when assisting patients.</li><li>Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with a strong attention to detail.</li></ul>
