Responsibilities
- Perform patient intake and vital signs monitoring (blood pressure, pulse, temperature).
- Prepare examination rooms and medical equipment for patient visits.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during procedures and examinations.
- Perform basic lab duties including blood draws (phlebotomy) and EKGs.
- Manage patient records accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding care instructions.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong desire to learn healthcare protocols and patient care techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients or equipment (up to 50 lbs).
- Basic computer literacy is preferred.
- CPR certification is a plus but not mandatory (training provided).
