Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during clinical procedures.
- Perform vital signs, EKGs, and basic lab tests (phlebotomy) with accuracy.
- Manage patient intake, including updating medical histories and insurance information.
- Administer medications and injections under the direct supervision of a physician.
- Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) in a timely manner.
- Coordinate patient follow-up appointments and referrals to specialists.
- Ensure examination rooms are clean, stocked, and sanitized.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NHA) is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong computer skills and experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- High school diploma or GED required.
