Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, managing the front desk check-in process and ensuring accurate patient registration.
- Prepare examination rooms by sterilizing equipment, arranging instruments, and maintaining a clean environment.
- Assist physicians and nurses during patient examinations by taking vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature) and recording patient history.
- Perform basic laboratory procedures, including blood draws and urinalysis, following strict safety and quality control standards.
- Administer medications and vaccinations under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
- Manage patient flow efficiently to minimize wait times and enhance the overall patient experience.
- Handle confidential medical records and insurance paperwork with the highest level of integrity.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred.
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and CPR certification is required upon hire.
- No prior experience required; we are looking for eager learners with a strong desire to help others.
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
