Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and prepare them for their appointments.
- Accurately measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature.
- Assist physicians and registered nurses during examinations and minor procedures.
- Manage and update electronic health records (EHR) with strict adherence to HIPAA compliance.
- Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean clinical environment.
- Administer injections and vaccines under the direct supervision of a licensed provider.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant Certification preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
- CPR/BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients of all backgrounds.
- Basic computer literacy and typing speed.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs with assistance.
- Strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for patient care.
