- Assist with Procedures: Prepare examination rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist providers during minor procedures.
- Administrative Duties: Manage electronic health records (EHR), schedule appointments, and handle insurance verification.
- Patient Education: Provide basic health education and explain treatment plans to patients and their families.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Medical Assistant certification is a plus but not mandatory for entry-level roles.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Professionalism: Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients or equipment as needed.
- Computer Literacy: Basic computer skills and willingness to learn EHR software.
