Responsibilities
- Perform clinical duties including vital signs, EKGs, and phlebotomy
- Assist providers with patient examinations and minor procedures
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and documentation
- Administer medications and injections per protocols
- Prepare exam rooms and sterilize equipment
- Handle patient scheduling and billing inquiries
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or NCMA)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in ambulatory care
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency with EHR systems (Epic/EMR preferred)
- Flexibility to work nights (7 PM - 7 AM) with rotating weekends
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced emergency medicine settings
