Responsibilities
- Patient Care: Perform patient intakes, measure vital signs, and prepare patients for examinations by providers.
- Clinical Procedures: Assist with basic clinical duties including blood draws (phlebotomy), EKGs, and administering medications as directed.
- Administrative Support: Manage front desk duties including scheduling appointments, updating electronic health records (EHR), and verifying insurance information.
- Communication: Act as a liaison between patients and medical staff, ensuring clear and accurate communication of patient needs.
- Infection Control: Adhere to strict hygiene protocols and safety standards to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Documentation: Accurately document patient interactions and treatment plans in the electronic medical record system.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Licensure: Current certification as a CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), or NCMA preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a physician's office or clinic setting is highly desirable.
- Skills: Proficient in computer systems, EHR software, and basic medical equipment.
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Reliability: Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
