Responsibilities
- Accurately measure and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, weight, and height.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform basic laboratory tests, phlebotomy, and electrocardiograms (EKGs) as required.
- Manage and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems with strict attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Greet patients, verify insurance information, and prepare them for their visit.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and organized clinical environment to ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Previous experience in a clinical or outpatient setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) software.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the role.
