Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and verify personal information to ensure accurate check-in processes.
  • Take and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse) and document patient medical histories.
  • Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments as directed.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests, phlebotomy, and EKGs when qualified.
  • Manage front desk administrative duties including scheduling appointments and updating electronic health records (EHR).
  • Provide patient education on medications, treatment plans, and preventative care.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary clinical environment in accordance with OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or NCMA) required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical setting preferred but willing to train motivated candidates.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
