Location: Detroit, Michigan (Metro Area)
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examination by assisting with draping, positioning, and privacy measures.
- Record patient medical histories, symptoms, and personal information vital to treatment planning.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and administer medications as directed by physicians.
- Perform phlebotomy and electrocardiogram (EKG) procedures accurately and efficiently.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) and ensure HIPAA compliance.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Certificate or Associate degree in Medical Assisting (CMA, RMA, or equivalent).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on accuracy.
- Valid Michigan driver's license and reliable transportation (for some locations).
