Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance, in accordance with patient care plans.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature, accurately and timely.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation using proper body mechanics and safety equipment.
- Communicate changes in patient conditions and report any concerns to the Charge Nurse or RN immediately.
- Prepare and serve meals, assist patients with eating, and ensure proper hydration.
- Document patient care activities, including intake and output, in electronic health records (EHR) accurately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment, adhering to all infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Nebraska State CNA License.
- CPR/BLS certification (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers) required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not mandatory for enthusiastic candidates.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help patients.
- Ability to lift and move patients up to 50 lbs as needed.
